*please note, it can be difficult to tell the difference between indigo denim and vintage indigo denim on certain screens. Pick indigo denim if you like a crisp pair of new jeans. Pick vintage indigo (which is a chambray fabric) if you prefer something a bit more, well, vintage.

Another note about pricing: because of the extra labor that goes into making denim pant 1 (ruched waistband and gold topstitching) these pieces are priced a bit higher.

I wear my clothes hard: biking, walking the dog, working in our studio, and lounging (a lot of lounging), but all of this means that I need clothing that matches my life. I need to be able to sit, walk, bend and work without constriction. I wanted pants that were made for my busy life, but that would look great and would work well across the seasons. So when it came to pattern drafting this pant, there had to be plenty of space in the hips, thighs and knees to allow for lots of movement and comfort. I knew I wanted a tapered leg, which gives these pants a sleek look and less fabric to muck around with around the ankle. Another design element I knew I wanted was a super high waist: these pants sit at your natural waist, typically right around the bottom of the ribs. This helps you stay covered as you bend and move…no need to yoink these pants up throughout the day. The elastic waist band is 2” wide (and sewn into place so it won’t roll), making these pants all the more comfortable. This particular elastic has really strong recovery and I don’t find that it stretches out a lot over time. Lastly, inseam pockets. That’s right, this pair of pants has deep inseam pockets for all of your essentials.

Let’s talk about sizing. There are now 8 sizes of pant 1 labeled size 1-8. I offer one inseam length which 26”. You can use the chart below to figure out how our old sizing converts to new sizing. You can also see the size range (body measurements) per size.

It’s also good to keep in mind that because of the elastic waist band of these pants, there's some wiggle room between sizes. I typically recommend that folx select their size based on their hip measurement. That area is the most important to fit because it would be the most challenging to tailor.
