Hello all. I have some news for you. My beloved contract seamstress who has been working with me for the past five years recently notified me that she is moving away from contract sewing alltogether. This person has been perfect to work with. She and I had a rhythm, flow and trust that doesn't come along often. There was a part of me that always knew that if and when she left, it might be the end of made-to-order clothing for my business. Or, at least, I don't currently have the capacity to find someone new at this stage in my life and it might take me a while to find the right person. SO, a bit of a curve ball. I have plans and ideas for the future of Eli & Barry that I won't share quite yet, but I am excited about the forward momentum that I'm currently feeling after processing this loss.
So...I guess onward and upward as they say? Who knows? Maybe another perfect seamstress will come my along. But, for now, it's time for a pause and a period of incubation as I intentionally figure out what's next for Eli & Barry. It's not the first time I've had to pivot. I do hope I can find someone to continue sewing orders for me but, for now, I'm burned out and raising young children and I don't want to make any rushed decisions.
Right now everything that you see on the website is in stock and ready to ship. The sizes are random due to the fact that they are mostly photoshoot samples and customer exchanges.
I do believe that a new and better Eli & Barry will emerge from this.
Thank you so much for your loyalty all of these years.
